TICKETsrv and their clients demonstrate resilience, innovation and diversification in the events sector
TICKETsrv have been busy helping their event clients get ‘back to the future’ by developing innovative ways to help them embrace the ‘new normal’, adapt to the ever-changing legal requirements to safely admit visitors and continue to enjoy a revenue stream during an eerily-quiet 2020.
Behind the scenes, TICKETsrv has been busy refining their booking and contactless ticket validation mechanisms that enable observation of social distancing requirements. Events, venues and retail spaces are able to take advantage of advanced technology which offers entry time slots which avoid queue management issues, validation at a distance or through screens, variable capacity limits, the collection of customer details to assist with NHS Track & Trace, verification against pre-existing membership lists and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) to scan vehicles on entry.
Demonstrating a desire to get back to business and survive this period, many of their clients are also thinking outside the box to stay in their visitors’ minds and tempt them back out to the showgrounds again. Here we cover many of the highlights…
TICKETsrv have worked around the clock to roll out new time-slot technology which has enabled existing and new clients to admit visitors quickly and safely. A well-known visitor attraction in the North of England will be joining the client base as a result of this to offer timed parking slots for the first time.
The organisers behind the South of England Autumn & Winter Fairs will be collecting visitor names and addresses on the gates via TICKETsrv’s “Kiosk” integrated till systems for on-the-day cash and card sales in order to assist with the NHS Track & Trace system.
Westmorland County Agricultural Society have pushed themselves into new territory by organising a new and covid-friendly drive-in kite display.
The Celebration of Speed are offering tickets to enter their Prize Competition. Raising funds for the Race Against Dementia, the first prize is a fully restored convertible 1972 Triumph TR6 with runner up tickets to the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Not only does the competition offer excellent PR credentials, it also helps keep the conversation buzzing around the event encouraging those all-important social media shares.
World Yoga Festival have already started selling tickets for 2021 as well as offering a series of online masterclasses which cleverly emails customers with the Zoom login details as soon as they book their access.
The Royal Cornwall Show and Mid Devon Show are both selling memberships online as an extra revenue stream and with the potential to capture life-long show visitors.
Badminton Horse Trials are selling gift vouchers encouraging early-commitment and a great way to drop a hint this Christmas for the perfect online ‘stocking filler’.
Most clients are also opting to collect donations alongside their ticket/membership/gift voucher sales – take up is much higher than average which shows the support visitors are willing to lend their much-loved summer events.
