For our Autumn Show & Game Fair and Winter Fair in 2020 we worked closely with TICKETsrv to design processes that would work during the Covid pandemic. This included setting up a new system for our numerous membership types to access their tickets online, introducing day and time specific tickets, frequently changing the number of tickets available, and the date of one show, due to changing Government guidance, setting up a system for a ‘one-in, one-out’ entry should it be necessary, helping with marketing support, communicating with our ticket-holders and much more. We found the whole TICKETsrv team to be incredibly responsive, supportive and helpful throughout, ultimately helping us make the Shows happen whilst remaining within Government and local authority guidelines.
TICKETsrv is the 3rd ticketing company that we have used in the last three years. There is a cost to switching ticketing provider, so many people stick with what they know. For us, it was more important to test the market in order to find our long-term partner, as inefficiency and damage to customer trust can be much more costly. TICKETsrv support with the setup was invaluable and both the software and scanners are robust. Importantly, the feature allowing customers to swap time-slots has massively reduced phone calls and admin time. I believe we have found our best fit. This is the first year we have used TICKETsrv for the Gloucestershire Festival of Polo and what a game changer it has been. The back-end system is seamless and user friendly, the front-end interface has improved our customer’s experience and all whilst providing in-depth, accurate reporting on all areas of our ticket sales. We use TICKETsrv at all of our major events, which are based in rural locations and parkland. Advance ticket sales (which ensure income whatever the weather) have rocketed and the time taken to admit cars with pre-purchased tickets to our events has decreased, meaning we have fewer issues with cars queuing back onto the highway. The statistics report is invaluable when considering marketing spend, as it enables full traceability on which advertising campaigns work and which do not. Technical support and help from the team at TICKETsrv is swift and thorough. The system is flexible and user friendly and no particular IT skills are necessary to use it. I would have no hesitation in recommending TICKETsrv to other event organisers.
We used TICKETsrv for on-line e-ticket sales for the first time in 2013. Despite not contracting with them until a few weeks before the event our sales surpassed all expectations. From a ticket selling point of view this was the channel that was easiest to administer. A simply daily down load from the TICKETsrv site enabled us to verify the money coming into our bank account from sales. All went very smoothly. We continue to use TICKETsrv and are in the process of investigating other ways for us to work together.
I initially had to be convinced of the benefits of changing from a traditional postal system to an electronic ticket delivery system, but I am now happy to say it was a good decision for us. We grew sales exponentially in the first and subsequent years, mostly due to the extended selling time that electronic ticket delivery afforded us.
